Same job, same routine, more or less. Most significant thing, I suppose: I'm trying to get my byline into the WSJ somehow (print or online, either one), and hopefully start on the path to something close to regular writing.

Oh, and movies---lots of them. Some wonderful DVD discoveries (Dreyer's transcendant Ordet, for one), a handful of new movies to write home about (Mike Leigh's flawed but invigorating Happy-Go-Lucky chief among them).

I'll get to them...hopefully.Kenji Fujishimahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10635553450551818306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27825798.post-6697887502022441502008-11-23T01:43:00.000-05:002008-11-23T01:43:00.000-05:00The election, the economy, the bailout of wall str...The election, the economy, the bailout of wall street and the automakers, if not you then the world. Whats new with your plans? Moving out, moving up, what? Lots to talk about. Some readers probably will stick with you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27825798.post-48674562958624838982008-11-22T23:34:00.000-05:002008-11-22T23:34:00.000-05:00Well I'm still alive...still breathing...I'll prob...Well I'm still alive...still breathing...

I'll probably write something around Thanksgiving explaining my long absence, but most likely that explanation will go something like this: I haven't had much of a desire to blog all that much, mostly because my life has been pretty static recently, and blogging inspiration (and patience) has been fairly low. I'll probably, er, get my groove back, so to speak, eventually. I'm probably losing readers with the lengthy hiatus...but whatever. Please bear with me, if you wish.Kenji Fujishimahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10635553450551818306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27825798.post-59968047276256308002008-11-22T21:32:00.000-05:002008-11-22T21:32:00.000-05:00So whats happened to this blog? While I am no fan of GW Bush, the bailout bill is needed--it might be the best thing Bush has done, albeit late in the game. Banks are failing, real estate is not selling and credit is in a crisis and the market is unstable. And on the subject of Ms. Republican VP, just sit back, close your eyes and imagine her as President of the United States. Is that a horror movie or what?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
